Help load container with donations for Nicaragua

SimplyHelp is loading a container for Nicaragua this Sunday.

Please come from 2pm-4pm and help pack the donations and load them in the container.

SimplyHelp is growing rapidly and in need of an extra part-time staff member.

Essential Functions of the new staff member:

• Responsible for fundraising, all verbal and written communication with the Chinese  community in Los Angeles County (press, businesses, volunteers) and some general administrative work.

Primary Duties:

• Raising funds in the Chinese community by approaching Chinese businesses
• Updating SimplyHelp’s Chinese website.
• Writing Chinese press releases
• Giving presentations about SimplyHelp’s work to club’s, organizations and foundations
• Organizing fundraising events and coordinating volunteers.
• Some general administrative work.

Skills:

• Ability to speak, read and write in Chinese and English
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Public speaking skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Passion for non-profit work

This person needs to be able to come to the office in downtown Los Angeles, and needs to have a car.
